About Me

My
Story
Welcome!
I’m Christopher Marchant, and I’m a musician, composer, and producer with a deep passion for creating and exploring sound. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where my musical journey began at an early age. Starting with piano lessons, I developed perfect pitch, and soon after, I taught myself to play guitar, bass, and drums. My love for music only deepened as I explored different instruments and genres, eventually leading me to study Music Composition at Arizona State University. This academic foundation gave me the tools to hone my craft and understand music on a deeper level.
In addition to my formal education, I am also graduating from Berklee Online this year with a degree in Audio Production. This experience has expanded my technical skills, allowing me to record, produce, and mix music with a professional touch. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to perform in a wide variety of settings, from folk and blues bands to rock and funk ensembles, as well as playing in symphonies and wind ensembles. I even played the bassoon through college, and learned to play saxophone in the jazz band, further broadening my musical horizons.
Throughout my career, I’ve been influenced by the experimental sounds of Pink Floyd, whose ability to blend atmosphere with storytelling has inspired the way I approach my own music. This influence can be heard in my solo work, which blends various genres and moods, and in the film scores I compose for local filmmakers.
Now, I perform live, collaborate with other musicians to create unique recordings, and produce solo projects. I’m passionate about exploring new sounds and collaborating with others to bring music to life. Whether it’s creating an evocative score for a film, producing a track with a fellow artist, or performing on stage, I am always striving to create music that resonates deeply with listeners.
